What Causes Weight Gain While On Omnacortil For Breathlessness And Cough?
My daughter is 3and half yrs old..she is suffering from cough and cold..she also has the breathing problems....doctor prescribed to take omnacortil syrup 4ml thrice a day for 3 days....she is gaining weight...every month she is suffering from cold...what can I do???

hello.
omnacortil contains prednisone which is a steroid which is causing weight gain in your baby. please switch over to an inhalor. which causes increased activity and reduced systematic adverse effects of a corticosteroid.
I would suggest you to swith over to advair or symbicort inhalor
rest yoh can consult your paediatricIan because switching over shall alleviate your concerns.
