General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
HI, I understand your concern. though it is desired to postpone pregnancy till minimum 1 year of any abdominal surgery.. you have already conceived. The operation done was appendisectomy..which is not a very risky one. apart from this, pregnancy lies in uterus, which has nothing to do with incision of appendisectomy.. . so you need not be tense, That way also there is hardly any weight weight gain in first 3 months of pregnancy. only thing is you have to be more careful about your physical activities/ about your nourishing diet & a positive psychology .. all these things along with a regular pregnancy check up & medication as per doctor's advise should help you to have an un incidental pregnancy & delivery. Please don't worry. Thanks.
