What Causes Weight Loss And Depression While Having Nexplanon Implant?

Hello! I have had the Nexplanon implant put in about a month ago. I have had a lot of strange symptoms and my doctor said to give it some time but I m worried. I have had major weight loss mainly due to decreased appetite. I am also extremely tired all the time and depressed when I m usually happy. I can also see my implant which concerns me that it is going to come out. Any help? My doctor is not helping.

Hello,

It is not related t Nexplanon. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated. We have to rule out possible causes like hormonal imbalances.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
