What Causes Weight Loss While On Nexium For GERD?

have severe gerd and am taking 20mg nexium and am losing weight that it says is unexplained weight loss that I find unconsciable can you explain there must be something in its ingerdients?????? Am taking 20mg of nexium for f few mos/ been taking Prilosec for 13 yrs ... it says unexplained weight loss which I find unconsciable ........so what is in it or what is the answer??????????????

I appreciate your concern for losing your body weight.
The fact that you have been taking Prilosec for 13 yrs & recently switched over to nexium indicates that your acidity related problem is not cured.
You are advised to visit your doctor for further evaluation may be you have to undergo endoscopy & other tests to find out the cause.
The drugs mentioned above are knoen to cause thinning of bones, infections and deficiencies of vitamins.
