What Causes Weird Taste In Mouth While On Propafenone For Atrial Fibrillation?
My husband has atrial fibrillation. The Dr gave him ppropafenone to take. He has a bad cough now and pain in his middle section and an auful taste in his mouth. His blood pressure is high at this moment at 3am. Can he quit taking this med?please advise Charles jones age 91

Propafenone does cause weird taste sensation in some. But it can not cause high BP; rather it lowers BP. Kindly see your doctor if BP is consistently high. Also, if taste disturbance is troublesome, you can request him for an alternative drug.
