What Causes White Bruising And Pain Around Injection Site?
I got a cortisone injection in my wrist for pain and it not only lightened or whitened the skin but every time I touch it, it is painful and then looks like blood comes to the surface and then leaves a bruise on both side of the whitened part. Can this be fixed?
Thanks for your query . Usually bruising and pain occur on injection site . Sometimes needle of injection tear vessels and structure around the injection site due to which clot form.
I would suggest you to give warm compresses to affected area , take ibuprofen (if not allergic) or paracetamole for pain and swelling and take rest .
If condition doesn't get better in 2-5 days consult doctor for proper examination and to rule out ibfection at injection site . Doctor may prescribe containing anti-coagulant like heparin .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
