As per your complain small white bumps over the tongue with discomfort in other areas inside the mouth like inner cheeks can be due to causes like Apthous Stomatitis or Apthous Ulcers, Cold sores caused by Herpes Simplex Virus, Bullous Pemphegoid etc.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like oral swab culture, blood test etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. As the treatment of the different conditions will vary according to the cause therefore as of now you can start taking supportive treatment like gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine.. You can take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.. Take a multivitamin tablet daily.. You should avoid spicy food and take a soft bland diet.. Suck ice and do cool water rinses.. In case if viral infection is ruled out you can be advised antiviral medications oral and topical that is Acyclovir, Valacyclovir, Famicyclovir etc..
