General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that it may be a yeast infection. This would cause a white discharge and itching.

This can be treated with topical or oral medication. Topical vaginal creams such as clotrimazole, miconazole, tioconazole, can be used. These are only some options and may be available under different brand names.

Orally , fluconazole can be used.

Some women can have frequent recurrent vaginal infections and may require a prolonged course of medication.

I hope this helps
