What Causes White Discoloration On Gums With A Sore On Tongue?
Hi, I have been a little sick. I thought it was the flu. I have a big sore on the bottom of my tongue near the base, and now my gums are turning very white. This has all happened in the past 48 hours. I really feel achey and tired. SHould I be worried?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a sore under tongue can be a Canker Sore or Apthous Ulcer while white discoloration of gums seems to be due to either Inflammation or of there is white coating over tongue it can be due to fungal infection.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be advised accordingly.. As of now if there is pain you can apply Lignocaine Gel and take painkiller like Tylenol or Ibuprofen..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
