What Causes White Flaky Rash On Stomach Causing Mild Itching Sensation?
I have had a rash on my stomach for about a week now. It is about the size of a quarter and the edges look kind of flaky and white. Red in the middle, sometimes it itches but not to the point where it bothers me too much. What kind of cream do I put on it?
This sounds like a fungal infection. I recommend using Clotrimazole cream twice daily for 2 weeks or till the lesion disappears, which ever is later. Then, reduce to once at night for a week and your once every alternate day for a week. Stop the medicine this way. Clean & dry area before applying the cream. Use mild soap. Apply ice covered in a cloth, if it itches Air out the area as much as possible. Avoid constrictive clothing over the area. If the lesion doesn't show improvement in a week, please consult your physician to check for other skin conditions. Hope this helps Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Wish you good health
