Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have 3 small white itchy bumps above my clitorus. They have been there for about a week now and I am getting nervous that it is HPV.. I don t have any bumps anywhere else and I haven t had heterosexual sex in a year so I am very confused and scared.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. The itchy bumps what you are complaining of above your clitoris does not seem to be HPV infection, but it could be due to superficial bacterial infection of skin. Kindly do the following to overcome the symptoms: 1. Wash the area with warm water and rinsing with antiseptic solution like Savlon twice daily. 2. After drying, apply Neomycin cream on the lesions. 3. Take Tablet.Levocetrizine once a day to control itch. 6. Wear loose fitting undergarments and avoid sexual activities till the lesions heal completely. Take care to maintain good genital hygiene. Your symptoms should subside gradually and be back to normal. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
