What Causes White Lumps Inside The Mouth?

Hello Doctor,

I've had a small "Lump" inside my mouth for a while. I know when I chew gum , I sometimes
"Bite Down" on it . I just looked at it in the mirror and it had what appeared to be 2 small white
Bubbles. Could it be some kind of "Pimple" inside my mouth and the small white bubbles contain
puss or some type of fluid ?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the bubble like lump inside the mouth seems to be due to formation of a mucous cyst known as Mucocele and it is formed due to rupture of the duct of minor salivary glands secondary to trauma leading to ruptured duct of the gland and accumulation of fluid into soft tissues..
They are harmless and need not to worry about..
You can start doing concentrated salt water rinses to regress the lumps..
In case of no improvement or recurring episodes of same problem consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised surgical excision of the mucocele for permanent relief..
