What Causes White Patches Of Skin Draining Water Intermittently In A Teenager?

Have you ever heard of a young, slim person who occasionally has water appearing to come out of their skin? This has happened to my 19 year old daughter 5 or 6 times in about a year. I witnessed 4 of those times, and there was no way she faked it. It happened yesterday, and it has a slightly white look to it. It was only a pearl- sized drop, but I have seen her arm and foot have quite a bit appear. No swelling.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The white colourless fluid you see may be lymph. It may be the same issue as when the shoes hurt the leg and lymph filled sack is formed or if you have a burn on skin. Possibly she burned the skin and a fluid sack is formed and lymph fluid is coming out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
