What Causes White Patches On Inside The Cheeks And Tongue When Suffering From HPV Virus?

Hi, ive recently been diagnoised with the HPV virus, just woke up with a sore tongue, so looked through the mirror and noticed my tongue is white and ive also white patches on the inside of my cheeks on both sides left and right, im also taking multivitamins with iron which started them yesterday could these be the cause..
