Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a white rash on my skin that almost looks like.white paint. Its happened before, it burns really bad...and I know what it is before I even look at it. It doesn t scrub off either....and it spreads on its own. What is this??! I m afraid its something my kids could come in contact with!!!
It may be due to: 1. Dermophyte infection 2. Vitiligo 3. Psoriasis with white flakes 4. Eczema
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Keep distance from children in case of fungal infection it may spread to kids. Use oint terbinaforce plus twice a day for five days. If no improvement please consult with your dermatologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu, Internal Medicine Specialist
