Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your complain white spot on the gum can be either a
Canker sore or if it is exactly on the gum where tooth was extracted it can be due to any foreign body inclusion or left out root piece leading to infection and pus formation which is appearing as a white spot on gum.
I would suggest you that as you are under healing stage of the extraction socket and if the white spot lies over the gum of extraction socket you should consult a dental surgeon and get evaluated..
In case of canker sore it can mostly heal by itself without any complication..
In case of infection or any remnant in the extraction socket can cause infection and delayed healing as well as it can also lead to disruption of blood clot and cause "DRY SOCKET"
In that case removal of the foreign body or the left over root piece is needed to be removed followed by irrigation with
hydrogen peroxide,
betadine and saline along with a short course of antibiotics and painkillers.
In case if there is formation of dry socket irrigation followed by placement of
Zinc oxide eugenol dressing that has to be changed every alternate day has to be done.
Hope your query is solved..
