Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What would cause a white spot on my uvula? I woke with a sore throat but no fever. 6 weeks ago had a sore throat with tiny white spots on tonsils but strep tests were negative. Had a steroid shot and rocephin shot as well as levoflaxin orally but the tiny white spots remained. What could be wrong and should I see a dr again?
Hi, As you had a sore throat then it could be infective and for that you have taken treatment. Your tiny white spots on tonsils might be due to tonsillar stone or infective mononucleosis and because of this, you might have white spots in uvula. Mostly it is due to viral infection rather than bacterial as your strep test is negative also. You consult ENT surgeon for further treatment.
