What Causes White Spots And Redness On Face Along With Eyebrow Hair Loss?
Hello. I have this issue on my face. It started last year on my forehead which are white spots and are visible when I get out of the shower or when I sweat. I also saw reddened are on my chin and crease of my cheeks. I have also noticed loosing hair on my hairline where the spots are and im noticing eyebrow hairloss. I have done some research and looks like tinea vesicolor. My question is is it tinea vesicolor? Can I loose hair with this fungus? Will my hair grow back if it s treated? Than you
You are suggested to get clinically examined by a dermatologist to confirm tinea vesicolor. If it is tinea vesicolor it can be treated.
You need oral as well as topical medicines for application. Nutritional deficiencies may lead to loss of eye brow hair.
Take zinc, biotins & fatty acids like seeds, fish & nuts. You can take multivitamin supplements.
Side effects of certain medication & addictions may trigger such symptoms. Use of antifungal shampoo & a course of anti fungal medications are effective.
Yes hair grows back if treated. Minoxidil oral & topical is also effective. It may take time.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K
