Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been observed that my bottom & upper lip started turning white and also have whit spots at corners. What could be causing this to happen? please suggest me what i need to do but i observed that if i stop using past it s look batter however still issue is not yet cured, please kindly suggest me ,thanks for your time.
As per your complain it seems that white spots at the corners of the lips along with whitish appearrence of lips that improves with stopping tooth paste use can be probably due to allergic reaction to the contents of toothpaste.. While it can also be due to fungal infection, chapped lips etc.. I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like microscopic examination of scraping from the lips and blood tests can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. As of now keep the lips coated with petroleum jelly.. Do cool compresses on lips as well as the bumps.. Apply a combination of antibiotic and antifungal ointment..
Hope this helps..
Thanks and regards.
