Hello there. So im 7 weeks pregnant .. And ive noticed my stool has had white specks in it. I decided to cut it open and still just white specks. No worms , my boyfriends son had worms a month ago and got treated. He stopped coming here for a month .. Im freaking out. What could it be ??
Hi, Welcome to health care magic, The symptoms you are experiencing are indicative for possible infection of you bowels.
It could be chronic infection with giardiasis/amoebiasis as well.
You had not mentioned whether you tested with a doctor or not. I'd suggest to run several tests in order to identify the right diagnosis and get proper treatment.
Go for abdominal ultrasound and culture of your feces for bacteria and candida - examination of stool for ova/parasites - complete blood profile and eosinophils.
I would advise to drink plenty of water - eat more foods high in fiber - take sena, lactulose and fiber supplementation -You may also require deworming with anti-helminthic drugs like albendazole 400 mg.
But consult some local physician first and get all the tests done.
Regards,
