Okay thank you first off for taking the time out to read this and answer it. But my boyfriend has these white spots on his back like they are a different color but not like black or anything. Hes healthy, we eat healthy all the time and we both are very active. He works in the sun alot so I believe its part of the tan he gets in the summer. Hes mixed with black and white and its quite noticable. What could it be?
Hi. As per your case history your boyfriend is pityriasis versicolor. My treatment advice is - 1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily. 2. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months. 3. Apply an antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream twice daily on it. 4. Other treatment options are oral fluconazole, itraconazole and terbinafine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
