What Causes White Spots On Face Around Hair Follicles?
I notice I have what appears to be little white pills on the surface of my face. They aren t solid and seem to be focused around the hair follicles. They are there 24/7 and I can kinda feel them when I lightly brush my fingers over my skin. When I apply any kind of foundation; whether it s powder, creme or cake, the foundation pills up and just sits on the surface of my skin. What s the deal?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have white spots on face around hair follicles which could be inflammation of follicles and it could be hypopigmentation.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep it clean and dry. Avoid itching and pricking these spots. Do exfoliation of face twice a week or scrubbing with soft scrubber twice daily. You should apply topical antifungal cream and take benadryl twice a day.If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antifungal like fluconazole along with corticosteroid ointment .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
