Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I`m not sure if this is a big problem, but there are white spots on my gums. As these spots started to fade, they bought sort of indents with them. The gums under my front bottom teeth have drawn themselves in, with a white spot still attached. It is painful to eat. What can I do?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.
As per your complain the white spots that you have on your gums eems to be CALCULUS that are hard calcified Plaque and tartar and as CALCULUS is deposited over the teeth there is adhering of bacteria causing infection and slowly the gums loses attachment over the teeth and there is recession of gums..
The white spots are CALCULUS deposits and should be taken care of as if they continue to deposit gradually there will be more and more recession of gums and over the period of time tooth will loosen, become mobile and in extreme cases teeth can fall..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he can advise you to get Scaling done followed by antibiotics like Metronidazole and Amoxicillin and topical application of antimicrobial Oral paste and antimicrobial mouthwash gargles.. Also get proper brushing technique demonstrated so that you can maintain a good Oral hygiene..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
