My 2 year old son has 4 white spots on his lover back perfectly squared around his spine. Each spot is about a 1/4" inch. What could this be? Should I get him to the doctor? They appeared about 3 weeks ago - he is a mixed child (black father/white mother) but this has never appeared on his 2 brothers or his sister.
Hello, my opinion is that you should take him to the pediatric dermatologist, because as you describe, it can be anemic nevus, but it may also be a sign of some more important pathology, such as Tuberous sclerosis, but that can only be determined by a physician. Do not be alarmed, but go to the specialist.
