What Causes White Spots On The Stomach?

I had an endoscopy two weeks ago and my Doctor said I had white spots in my stomach. She sent out scrapings for biopsy. She told me that I probably had a bacteria. The report came back stating no biopsy and that the doctor would call me and explain but I have not heard anything and even thought I have called ?twice. Should I be concerned

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.

You should not be worried at all since taking biopsy is a routine procedure during gastroscopy and this is just a precaotius. Some serious issues such as tumors are more polypoid and there is growth inside stomach. However, it should always be confirmed with biopsy. Biopsy result may take even up to 2 weeks so it is not unusual to wait for it . So this is not sign of something negative if you didnt receive report yet.
In every case, these spots may indicate gastritis so you need to avpid certain food or medications, stress and smoking.
You need to avoid fried food, carbonated drinks, coffee, alcohol and spicy food. You should eat more milk products, vegetables and boiled food.

Bacteria helicobacter on the other side can be confirmed with biopsy as well but this is not sign of malignancy and this can be managed with antibiotics and antiacid medications.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
