What Causes White Spots On The Tongue?

my mother has got a white spot in her tongue, we have a local ent specialist and he suspected that the due to teeth sharpening it was resulted and suggested for teeth shaping and medicines, noe 20 days have already passed but there is no improvement , is it may result in cancer.

Read your query white spots on tongue can be due to sharp cusps resulting frictional keratosis or it can be due to white lesion leukoplakia or lichen planus . Dont be worried it so much but it this needs attention . I will suggest you to consult oral surgeon for examination and get proper diagnosis . If white spot is due to sharp cusps then go for rounding of cusps and if it is due to white lesion then go for proper treatment .
