What Causes White Spots On Tongue While Suffering From Sore Throat And Sinus Drainage?

I have had sore throat and sinus drainage for a few days. I have been using Halls cough drops for relief of the sore throat. My tongue is very sore and has a white spot (looks like a football shape right in the middle. My tongue hurts when I swallow. Is there anything I can do to get relief?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms white spot on tongue seems to be apthous ulcer while soreness of tongue is Apthous Stomatitis..
Nothing to worry, for throat infection you can take antibiotics like Azithromycin or Augmentin for 5 days.
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Take decongestants like Pseudoephadrine [sudafed].
Take Mucolytics like Ambroxol.
Do warm saline gargles and steam inhalations..
For tongue soreness gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
Limit the intake of cough drops..
