What Causes White Sticky Patches On The Shaft Of Penis?

There are white sticky patches developed on my penile shaft, also there are red spots starting to develop now.It causes burning sensation itching and irritation.Due to which I am unable to have sex with my wife as it pains. Please suggest a remedy and also advise if it is safe to have sex during this infection.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that formation of white sticky patches along with itching and burning over the penile shaft seems to be due to Yeast infection known as Mucocutaneous Thrush..
I would suggest you to avoid sexual intercourse with your wife as the infection can spread to her genitals too..
I would suggest you to consult an Internal Medicine Specialist or a General Physician and get evaluated and a clinical evaluation and a swab culture of the area can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done as..
In case of Thrush, the treatment will be great but to you and your wife..
You will be advised antifungal ointment like Clotrimazole..
Oral antifungal medicines ly Fluconazole can be advised for a week dose for 3 weeks..
You can also be advised anti allergics like Levocetrizine to reduce itching..
You should also get a blood sugar evaluation done as individual with high blood glucose levels tend to get infected faster..
