What Causes White Stuff At The Corner Of Mouth When Stressed?
One of my co-workers has white stuff at the corners of her mouth. SHe claims it is due to her medicines. I noticed it happened once she became very stressed at work. She appears to be a very nervous type person wh does not take stress well and this is when I noticed it.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain white stuff at the corners of the month van be dried out thickened saliva while can also be due to fungal infection.. In case if she is on any Medication then it can be due to dryness of mouth leading to accumulation of thick mucous present in saliva that when dries off gives a white appearance.. It can also be due to dehydration. I would suggest that she should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated as without clinical examination I can only explain about the gross possibility and a confirmatory diagnosis needs a clinical evaluation.. As of now she should drink plenty of water, chew sugar free chewing gum and keep the corners of mor clean by gently wiping the area with a wet tissue.. In case if there is dryness associated application of Petroleum jelly can relieve..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
