What Causes White Substance Hanging From The Anus With Rectal Cancer?

I'm currently going through radiation treatment for rectal cancer. Area is inflamed, bleeding slightly and impossible to touch. I have a small white thing hanging from my anus. I had thought it was fecal matter as in having difficulty with bowel movements due to all the abuse to the area. Is this a possible prolapse? What do I do with it? Very uncomfortable.

Thanks for your question on HCM.
There are many possibilities for your symptoms. The common ones are
1. Fecal matter.
2. Lining epithelium and mucosa
3. Prolapsed rectal tissue
So I advice you to consult your doctor and get done clinical examination.
You may need biopsy of that whitish things too.
Start anti inflammatory and painkillers for pain relief.
So consult treating doctor first.
