What Causes White Tongue And Stomach Pain With History Of Having Helicobacter Pylori?

Hi doctor. I had helicobacter pylori last September and had treatment with 8 antibiotics/day during one week. A few months later I have done breathing test for helicobacter and it was negative. I don't have any pain in my stomach but my tongue from time to time is white and when I clean it with my tooth brush, it smells. Could that be helicobacter again? P.S. I brush my teeth regularly, and bad breath is not because of that. Please help

I have gone through your query and can very well understand your health concerns..

As per your complain white coating on tongue can be due to Yeast infection known as Oral Thrush caused by Candida Albicans fungus..

As you had H.Pylori infection and you have taken heavy doses of antibiotics to treat as well as you must have taken proton pump inhibitors to reduce stomach acid this is the most probable causative factor for Thrush in your case.

You should consult a dentist and get evaluated..

In case of Thrush antifungal medicines like Fluconazole or Itraconazole has to be taken orally for 14 days..
Nystatin mouthwash gargles should be done...
Antifungal lozenges like Clotrimazole will help..
Take more of probiotics like Yoghurt and garlic in diet..
Drink plenty of water and maintain a good oral hygiene..
