My last sex was last 6 weeks.after sex I took ecp since then i have a thick white vaginal discharge after a week i got withdrawal bleeding then igot spotting at the same time a with discharge and it wont stop. I took a pt but its negative. After that the spotting stops but there still a discharge. Then last week i got my menstration. Now im worried right after my period i still got a thick white discharges. What does it mean?
Though candidiasis or thrush is a common cause of cheesy discharge occasionally there can be mixed infection with anaerobic bacteria and chlamydia which needs testing and specific treatment.
This is best done by a vaginal examination and doing a culture and sensitivity test of the discharge.
Rarely patients with copper IUD can have endometrium infection too.
You may need combined treatment with Clotrimazole and Clindamycin pessary for mixed infection and oral antibiotics too depending on the culture and sensitivity result of the infection.
Please consult your gynecologist at the earliest.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
