What Causes Whitehead Like Red Bumps On Bottom Of Scrotum?
Hi have three little red bumps on the bottom of my scrotum and it was kind of strange to see but it also scared me. There little red bumps with what looks like white heads in a grouping of 3. I ve never had an STD. Found it about 4 days ago. Please help.
Whitehead like bumps on the scrotum are commonly due to pore blockage, built up of oil or dirt from sweating or not bathing regularly. Sometimes it is also due to ingrown hairs. Take care of your personal hygiene, keep your private parts clean and dry. It is a minor problem it will go away by its own. Do not scratch, do not pop it, wear loose fitting cotton clothes.
You can apply antibacterial cream like Neosporin in the area affected. However, if it is resistant & does not go; get clinically examined by a GP to rule out sebaceous cysts, genital herpes, orchitis, spermatocele, etc. You can get a STD test done to stay at a safer side.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
