Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Having white discharge might be mucus and also having
blood in stool. It could be hemorrhoids, ulcer in rectum, proctitis, colitis or
dysentery if
abdominal pain is associated. Your work up should be done as follows:
- proctoscopy examination
- CBC
- USG abdomen
- stool examination
According to the cause, specific treatment will be given. If bacterial infection of lower gastrointestinal tract is suspected then antibiotic course is prescribed for that. If parasitic like amebic infection is detected, than
metronidazole drug prescribed for that. If no cause is evident then finally
colonoscopy might be done. If needed consult a surgeon for examination and further work up accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
