What Causes Whooshing Sounds In Ear, Headache And Mild Dizziness?

I have a bruit sound in my left ear but no ear pain itself. My skull around and behind my ear hurt and is very tender to the touch (but the inside of my ear doesn t hurt.) I have also been having horrible headaches that will not go away. Some mild dizziness also.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of whooshing sounds in ear, headache and mild dizziness. Well the symptoms you mention in query are clear cut indication a condition known as meniere's disease which affects the inner ear. It could be due to improper fluid drainage, allergies and viral infection as well. Need not to worry. Avoid touching or prickingear with any sharp object. Apply warm compresses ion ear. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and to rule out cause like hypoglycemia . Doctor may order videonystagmography , rotary-chair testing , CT scan and MRI . Doctor may recommend hearing aid , antibiotics , steroids or anti emetic drug. You should take proper course of antibiotics along with anti-inflammatory medications.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
