What Causes Wooziness And Low Appetite While On Antibiotics?

Hi.Thank you for taking time to help me. My mother is elderly and has c-diff. They are giving her antibiotics and other fluids because her appetite is still low. My concern however is she says her head is woozy. It seems like it torments her. Will the wooziness disappear soon? She has been on antibiotics for one week. She also got over a urinary tract infection a week before. Thank again for your time and help. Tom

Hello,

As you explain the situation antibiotics are not directly related to causing wooziness. It depends if she has comorbidities which might be worsening due to antibiotics use. If yes then after finishing them the wooziness will disappear.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jnikolla, Pulmonologist
