What Causes Worms And Mucus In Stools?

Good morning Doctor. I am 52 Yrs; male. No BP; No Sugar. I noticed worms in my stool this morning. For the last 10 days or so, I have been having to rush to the toilet three to four times during the day. The stool contained large quantities of mucus like substance. Suspecting it to be Amoebic Dysentery, I have taken Secnidazole (two tablets from a single pack) two days ago. But this has not helped. The stool emanates very foul smell and is inconsistent. I have had a meal and water at a marriage function 10 days ago. Could my current problem be linked to that? Kindly advise if there is a medication that I can take or do I need to go for elaborate tests? Many thanks
