What Causes Worsening Of Eye Sight Despite Wearing Glasses?
I am confused, This is a vision question.I have always been near sighted with astigmatism and wore noline trifocal / multifocal glasses and colored contacts (at my last eye exam 2yrs ago my near sighted-ness had improved so much, I received a new rx ,but my new exam 2yrs post they had gotten worse, he says they have changed and I m now farsighted with astigmatism . He prescribed me with noline bifocal/multifocal glasses and Air Optix colored contacts BC 8.6 DIA 14.2 and pwr -0.00 plano, He explained my farsighted results had one positive eye and one negative eye /canceling each other out so he had to go with the 0.00 power. I see fine with my new glasses but I cannot read closeup with my contacts at all. ( Can I not wear multi/bifocal contacts? I don t understand why I m suddenly farsighted at 56 since have been nearsighted since age 12, I do have an appt with ENT as my ears have been plugged fro over 4 mos, allergy meds helping me breathe and nose running nonstop but the pressure behind my eyes makes them painful to touch, hope that has nothing to do this vision change.
