Dear Sir,

my mother is about 70 yrs old. she lives in Allahabed. she is old diabetes petient (about 25 yrs old). but for last about 12 years she was not taking any medicines and took sweets sugars etc. freely. now she has a deep wound on the big toe for last 1 month but no pain in the wound. Now the toe is becoming black and the no sense in the surrounding area of the wound. slowly the complete feet is becoming senseless. Yesterday she was not feeling, whether she is wearing a slipper in that feet or not. the sugar level on fasting 184 and after taking food 241. earlier in the month of september sugar level on fasting was 212 after food was 326. but after treatment etc. it has been reduced a little bit.

Please let me know if some more information is required.



Now my questions are-

(1) what could be the reason of the problem?

(2) can it be cured by treatment or not?

(3) One doctor has told if it is not cured by medicine, may be needed to cut the toe. Is that correct?

(4) Please suggest me a good specialist in Allahabad for consulatation?
