What Causes Wound With Pus On Breast After Bitten During Feeding?

Hi! I don't know if I am having this problem because my son has bit me a few times but two days ago i found a small regular looking pimple under the nipple of my left breast. Then it started to feel very painful like a stabbing pain then while i was showering it popped if you will. After all the white pus or whatever it was came out it bled some. It looks better bow but the pain is still there very painful to breastfeed. What should I do? What is this?

Hi,
As per your description and the history, it looks like an abscess that had ruptured. This is most likely due to the bites and not to worry about as such things are common during breast feeding. Please do not feed the baby on that side; instead express the milk manually and give the feed to the baby. You would need proper examination, dressing and antibiotic to help quicken the wound healing and relieve the pain. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
