What Causes Wriggling Sensation In The Rectum?

I sometimes get this wriggling feeling inside my bum (near the entrance). They occur anytime (sometimes night). I first got the feeling about 4 years ago and it s not something constant. For example this is my first feeling in about 2 years. I had forgotten about it and now that it s happened again I m a bit worried about what the cause is.
