What Causes Yellow Coating With Red Spots On Upper Palate?
the roof of my mouth is yellow, I just noticed two small red dots that are not raised and they do not have blisters or anything. The back of my throat feels like it would if I had chicken pocks that were healing and itchy. (I had them as a child)
I was recently ill with the flu and I still have a lingering barky cough.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain the yellow coating over the palate along with small red dots seems to be secondary to infection as you had a recent episode of flu. It seems that there is still recovery and healing going on and you need not to worry as the symptoms will resolve soon.. You should do warm saline gargles.. Gargle with 1:1 solution of hydrogen peroxide and water will help.. You can suck throat lozenges and also do steam inhalations.. Take a soft diet.. Avoid spicy and chilled foods and maintain a good oral hygiene.. Gradually in next 3 to 4 days you will be perfectly fine..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
