Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Yellow Colored Watery Discharge In The Stools Of An Infant?
our granddaughter who is two weeks old has poop in her diaper all the time . with a small diaper rash we have let her be without a diaper on. just stretching, or yawning, she ejects this yellowish water out.. is this normal or should we be concerned??
I think it is normal for her age to pass yellow and loose stools for 3-4 times per day if more. It is yellow since she is feeding only on milk and is frequent since she is drinking every 2-3 hours.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
