What Causes Yellow Discharge And Irritated Labia Minora During Pregnancy?
I'm 35 wks pregnant and have noticed that I have a whitish\slightly yellow discharge and am itchy. It looks like a yeast infection, however my right labia minora is also irritated and bigger than the left one now.....is this normal with a yeast infection?
Yeast infection usually causes curdy white discharge. Many time there is a mixed infection with multiple organisms.
As of now, it is better to get evaluated and a vaginal swab test done. The vaginal tablets like clotrimazole for yeasts or clindamycin / secnidazole for other infections may be used. Cold compresses help decrease the inflammation and swelling. Also keep the area clean and dry and change the undergarments twice daily and wash them with hot water to prevent reinfection.
With this you will be alright.
