What Causes Yellow Discoloration In The Eyes While Suffering From Pancreatic Cancer?

My father diagnosed wth Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer mestasis to the lungs. Found out in December 2016. He didn t have treatments done but ha been on morphine, pain meds. His eyes and skin are very yellowish and his feet are stating to get swollen.... Do u think the cance is in his liver? Why all the jaundice? How much longer does he have left to live? He s vey weak and fragile. Hospice has been with him for bout 3 weeks. Thank you

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Sorry to know that patient has metastasis in the lungs. Now yellowish color in the eyes and skin signifies presence of jaundice. It is possible that secondaries might have reached liver cells too resulting in jaundice. Overall condition appears to be very serious. Since patient is only on palliative measures, it is difficult to predict anything. Thanks.
