What Causes Yellow Liquid To Leak Through The Nose?

hi yesterday and today when i turn my he d upside down (like when I m drying my hair) or now just bending over to pick something up, yellow liquid coms for my nose. i was sick last week but am over that and am showing no more symptoms, not even congestion. Its literally yellow liquid, there is no mucus in it at all. is this something I need to be concerned with? I don t have any reason to suspect CSF leakage but this yellow liquid has never occurred before.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As you describe your condition OF yellow liquid to leak through the nose resembles symptoms of untreated sinus infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to collect your nasal discharge and get it tested in lab to rule out the possibility of CSF(cerebro spinal fluid ) , blood and pus.Nasal discharge on bending is called ‘Tea pot ‘ sign. I would recommend a sinus rinse. It's not medicated and therefore is safe to use with other medications. Make sure you read the directions very carefully. Also, drink lots of water and get plenty of rest. And stick to antibiotic course recommended by your doctor .
