What Causes Yellow Sores On Outer Lips Of Vagina And White Discharge?

I have discovered a thick frothy of white discharge and fairly large hard yellow sores on the outer lips of my vagina. I have had problems with vaginitis but never had such weird and painful sores before. I m scared this may be symptoms of a STI. Please help?
