Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding yellow thick sputum along with sore throat for last 6 days.

According to your clinical history it appears as you are having acute pharyngitis and you have taken mucinex but it is not giving any relief. So it appears as you are having bacterial infection in throat, there may be involvement of sinuses tonsils etc.

Since 6 days had already passed so noe it will be better to consult your doctor for examination and investigation of respiratory system and finally treatment.

Regards.
