What Causes Yellow Vaginal Discharge After A Hysterectomy?
I had an hysterectomy about 15 years ago and my ovaries a couple of years later I also have a colostomy and regularly have to remove what I call gunk from my anus But I am getting a lot of thick yellow discharge I have read that this could be an STI but I have been married and faithful for 24 years Any idea what could be causing this Would a thrush treatment from the chemist work as it isn t white wasn t sure if it has anything to do with thrush Thank you Ruth

It can be due to vaginal fungal infection for which you can take some antibiotic preferably cefadroxyl or moxikind-cv after an expert opinion along with avil or cetrizine for itching. You can take Fole 150 mg or use clingen-forte vaginal pessary to put into the vagina once daily for at-least 5 days. Maintain the hygiene of private part by regular washing or use v-wash vaginal.
