Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I took Monistat a couple of days ago. I don t think I m still discharging because of the medicine. I was only at the beginning of a yeast infection (I didn t itch or anything. My DR told me to get the Monistat due to a test I had taken previously). Today I started noticing that when I wipe after I pee the toilet paper is yellow, it doesn t have a odor. But when I look in the toilet my urine is clear or just about clear. Should I be worried about the yellow?
Hello dear Understand your concern Always take the antibiotic complete course to cure the infection, If you take incomplete dose lead to chance of recurrence and develop resistance to drug. Yellow discharge again may be due to recurrent yeast infectio or mixed infection. I advice you ti consult the gynecologist and go for swab teat and culture sensitivity of discharge and take complete treatment accordingly. Wear pure cotton loose undergarments, maintain pelvic hygiene, wash vagina with warm salted water 2-3 times per day, use V vaginal wash. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
